Gaana Bhat is a Mangalorean who spent her early years in Coimbatore before returning home during her teens. She completed her pre-university at St. Aloysius College and earned her Engineering degree from Srinivas Institute of Technology. She began her career as an engineer at Infosys, Mysore, later moved to the US on assignment with Apple, and eventually took on a leadership role as Associate Manager at Yahoo in Bangalore.

Her creative life was always running parallel. She stepped into modeling in Mysore in 2011 and kept exploring the media world even while living abroad. During her time in the USA, she walked ramps, collaborated with designers, and appeared in several California-based fashion magazines including Surreal Beauty, 7 Hues, Sheeba, and the cover of IMirage.

She also built a strong digital presence through her YouTube dance channel “Desi Twist,” now touching nearly 57,000 subscribers and known for a viral dance video that crossed 8.6 million views. Alongside this, she expanded into lifestyle and beauty through her personal YouTube channel “Gaana Bhat.”

Acting soon became the heartbeat of her creative journey. She began with the telefilm “Taxi 24/7” directed by Nagaraj Bhat in 2015 and went on to feature in commercials, short films, independent films, and web series across Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and English. Her projects include Sketchu, Silent Date, Vasantha Sameeram, Maruvarthai Pesadhe, Un Kadhal Enne Thottu Selluthe, Purple Night, and a cameo in Natural Star Nani’s Telugu hit “Ninnu Kori.” She also starred in the Kannada feature film “Babru,” the first Kannada movie fully shot across the USA, and appeared in the Telugu SonyLIV original series “Mymarapu,” now also available on YuppTV. Her work continued with later releases like Abatara (Tulu), Kal (Dada Saheb Phalke nomination), Bachelor Party (Kannada), and Purple Night (US Amazon Prime).

Beyond the camera, Gaana is an entrepreneur and the founder of The Edi Archive, a dopamine-packed fashion universe blending bold prints, storytelling, and collectible-based experiences. She also teaches through practical workshops and courses under Fast Track Academy, covering business, self-help, productivity, content creation, cooking, and tech tools.
